Presumptive Positivity #8

Well, I can feel the changing of the seasons and summer is drawing near, my favorite time of year.  I love the months of May and June; always so exciting with a lot going on and precious, sun-soaked days just up ahead.  Our school year ends next week for our boys and then the daily structure of our last two months will vanish.  Thoughts of what comes next is weighing on my mind, just like everyone.

Thankfully, there has been some good news recently! Beaches have opened in New Jersey and it looks like all went well over the Memorial Day holiday weekend. We went down to Sea Isle City two weekends ago to help clean up my parents’ house.  It was a beautiful Saturday and people were out and about.  It felt like a normal late Spring day down the shore.  The boys reunited with their “summer” friends and my husband and I were able to sit and relax on the beach for a bit after some intensive yard work. It was just what we needed to reset our minds and spirit.

With word that the rest of PA’s counties will move into the yellow phase June 5th, restaurants will be able to open outdoor seating – yay! I think we are all tired of cooking!  Also, many public attractions are announcing their plans for summer.  Both Elmwood Park Zoo and Great Adventure will reopen their Safari Drive Throughs. Disney World, Universal Studio and Busch Gardens have also set opening dates.

What plans, if any, are you considering this summer?  Below are some helpful links for reference.  If you are thinking of an adventurous road trip, check out the link below about RVs!  Hopefully with the proper safety measures, we can enjoy and make the most of summer.  Better and brighter days are ahead!

Be well!
